Edouard DEROM

Edouard Derom is a director at the Patrick Derom Gallery, where he oversees special projects. After a brief career in law (JD from the KU Leuven and associate at Linklaters), he pursued an MBA at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He subsequently worked in various capacities at museums in the United States (The Morgan Library & Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art), France (Centre Pompidou), and China (UCCA Center for Contemporary Art). In 2014, he helped curate ZERO: Countdown to Tomorrow, 1950s–60s at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. He received his Ph.D. from the Institute of Fine Arts (NYU), where his doctoral research focused on the role of the ZERO magazine in the postwar European avant-garde. He is the author and co-author of several essays and catalogues about art.
