Specialising in classical African art, Alexandre Claes spent part of his childhood in Kinshasa, where he immersed himself in the artistic and cultural world.
On his return to Belgium, he turned his knowledge of art into a profession, analysing and appraising pieces from the classical world of Africa.
Since 2004, Alexandre Claes has worked with the Claes Gallery. In 2018, he joined the Bruneaf committee, where he will serve as vice-president until 2022. He is also involved in setting up private exhibitions, as well as national and international fairs.
