The Campo house was founded in 1897 by Guillaume Campo and two of his sons, Frans and Freddy, who successfully followed in their father´s footsteps. They established an international reputation, exhibiting and auctioning international artists and selling their work to collectors all over the world. When Frans Campo passed away in 1992, the third generation, active in the firm since 1984, took over. Among other innovations, this new family team renovated an old cinema built in 1929 and turned it into an art gallery and auction house.
